Meet Camilla! She’s a blogger by profession, a centered yoga teacher, and loving mother. We admire her youthful spirit and inspiring story.
Tell us about your journey. Where do you come from and how have your roots shaped you into the woman you are today?
I grew up in the country, but the country girl thing didn’t really stick. I love nature (with the exception of poisonous snakes, bugs, and plants), but I REALLY love not having to drive 45 minutes each way to buy groceries.
I’m the resident blogger at Hello Parent, a super cool female-founded tech startup, and I also teach hot yoga at Modo Yoga. My husband, Dan, and I have a 13-month-old son named Jude, so the way I spend my free time has changed a LOT in the past year!
I love practicing yoga whenever I can sneak a class into my schedule. I love to cook, but I also love the days that I get to skip cooking so we can go out to our favorite restaurants in Over-the-Rhine. Now that we have the babe, we’ve become part of the early bird special crowd, but it turns out tacos are delicious at any hour.
What is your mission? You know, your dreams and aspirations! What do you stand for? Give us some of your personal philosophy.
I’m a pretty high strung person, so I make it a point to integrate things like yoga (and wine) into my routine to keep things in check. Right now, my hopes and dreams are pretty simple…
“I just want to be a good mom, a good wife, a good writer, a good yoga teacher, and a good human.”
I really value peace, in my own life and in the world. I wish there were more of it. I don’t even care how much I sound like a beauty pageant contestant right now.
How do you incorporate crafting/creativity into your day-to-day?
I’m certainly not a Pinterest-perfect mom, but I do love getting crafty as often as possible! I get unreasonably excited about throwing baby and bridal showers because I know I get to make decorations and favors. It’s tough to include Jude in the fun just yet, since he’s still so little, but we did just collaborate on a pretty sweet footprint reindeer for the Hello Parent blog last week.
